Gary Garcia and Elizabeth Whitehouse met while working together at a nursing home in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Gary, a nurse and Elizabeth, a speech-language pathologist, were attracted to each other's work ethic, sense of humor, and intelligence. Within a few months, they were inseparable.
Gary took Elizabeth to Puerto Rico in November 2008 to show her where he grew up and introduce her to his extended family. They visited some beautiful beaches, rain forests and landmarks, but Gary chose the house he grew up in as the place to propose. It was first thing in the morning on Elizabeth's 26th birthday and Gary woke her up and got down on one knee. Although they'd only been dating a few months, Elizabeth knew they were meant to me and said “yes”.
They will be married October 3, 2009 at St. Stephen’s Episcopal in Durham with a reception to follow at Croasdaile Country Club. It's been a busy year with work and wedding planning and the couple is excited for their honeymoon in the Caribbean, looking for a house, and starting a family.

Sarah Foster and Jeremiah Raddatz met in college at Miami University of Ohio, where they both attended undergrad. They were both members of Alpha Phi Omega, an organization focused on community service. They started dating a few years later in 2008 when Sarah sent Jeremiah a casual message on Facebook. They found they had many things in common and soon became inseperable. In August of 2008, Jeremiah got a job offer to teach 8th grade math in Guilford County; he moved to North Carolina--8 hours away from Sarah. Sarah and Jeremiah were determined to stay together through the long distance. In October, Sarah decided to move to North Carolina to be with Jeremiah. She moved and can honestly say it was the best decision she ever made!
In August 2009, Jeremiah proposed to Sarah on the beach at Emerald Isle. He planted a shell on the beach with the ring tucked right inside! Sarah works at Carolina Biological Supply Co. in customer service. In their free time they both enjoy hiking, fishing, going to the gym, and watching sports--especially Ohio State football and Carolina basketball.
Sarah from Burlington, NC, daughter of Roger and Marlena Foster, will marry Jermiah from Burlington, NC, son of Mark and Angela Raddatz, at Ebenezer Lutheran in Greensboro, NC. A reception will follow at Marriott Greensboro Downtown.
Sarah and Jeremiah will be wed on June 26, 2010.

Kristina Hope Powell and Gregory Justin Brooks met at Briarcliff Elementary School in Cary, North Carolina. Hope was completing her student teaching in music, and Greg was the PE teacher that her mentor insisted "she had to meet." Hope did an observation of Greg teaching gymnastics to a class of 1st graders, and instantly knew she had met someone special. They began dating several months later, and have been inseparable ever since.
Four years later, Greg completely surprised Hope on their trip to Emerald Isle Beach with her family during Memorial Day weekend. He asked for her dad's permission Saturday morning while they were setting up the fishing rods on the beach. Later that day, Greg and Hope went on a short walk before Greg got down on his knee and proposed. Hope immediately started crying tears of joy, and still so completely shocked, almost forgot to say "yes". She did, of course, and they shared a champagne toast on the beach with her family to celebrate!
They will be married June 26, 2010 at the Emerald Isle Baptist Church with a reception to follow at Lands End in Emerald Isle. They have enjoyed planning their wedding together with their families and friends, and are looking forward to their "happily ever after."

Couple will reside in Thomasville, NC
It was 6:30 pm Valentine’s Day, the most romantic day of the year. The sun was setting and the lights were glistening inside and out of the Crystal Garden Ballroom at Castle McCulloch in Jamestown, NC. Red roses seemed to cover the entire place and “Valentine” by Martina McBride played while the guests arrived. I was about to marry my best friend of over 11 years. The groom and groomsmen looked so handsome, the bridesmaids looked stunning and the junior brides looked like little angels.
The pictures were taken in a flash by BG Photography and turned out “picture perfect.” Rosa Mae’s served an absolutely delicious buffet that was truly enjoyed by all. The wedding cake they created was a masterpiece. It was covered in dozens of real red roses and tasted phenomenal. DJ Randy Smith had everyone dancing from start to finish and made the reception unforgettable.
We exited the ballroom to a sea of bubbles that filled the night air as family and friends said their goodbyes. As we drove away in the limousine I felt like the luckiest bride in the world. A special thanks to my mom, grandmother, sister and maid of honor for making the wedding everything I had hoped for and more. Couple will reside in Garner, NC
Aaron and I were married on May 2, 2009 at the Hilton- RTP in Durham, NC. We had an evening wedding which worked out well because I had plenty of time to panic, pull myself back together, take photos, and drink champagne with my bridesmaids. We had several guests from out of town so having both the ceremony and reception in one location made it easier for them. Our theme was spring, so our only decorations were the flowers. Victorian Seasons, a florist in Cary, made our bouquets and boutonnieres and they provided buckets of wild flowers for us to make our own arrangements for the reception. Our ceremony was held outside in the courtyard, which was the perfect size for our one hundred guests. Afterwards, our guests were able to enjoy the cocktail hour on the hotel’s front porch while we took pictures. After pictures were taken, we started our reception at 7:45 p.m. We had a buffet that included hors d’oeuvres, a carving station, and a pasta station. We also had an open bar for four hours, which might explain why our wedding photos get funnier as the evening progresses. Altogether we had a perfect wedding day. Kidd Photography helped to make my wedding what is was. Their job was tough, keeping my unruly bridal party under control, but they were very professional and lots of fun. They delivered awesome pictures that we will cherish forever.
